Upward Bound participants are more than twice as likely to enroll in a four-year college or university and are four times more likely to earn a baccalaureate degree. Eighty-eight percent of Upward Bound graduates enter higher education institutions, including colleges and universities. Upward Bound impacts students' educational aspirations, postsecondary progress and persistence. Upward Bound programs serve nearly 50,000 high school students nationwide.
